y = sin x is a continual function and its period is 2 pi.
The five key points in one period of y = sin x are
(0, 0), (pi/2, 1), (pi, 0), (3pi/2, -1), (2pi, 0)
Draw the graph of y = sin x
Step 2:
Draw the graph of y = sin(x - pi/4)
By shift the graph of y = sin x toward right side pi/4 to get the graph of y = sin(x - pi/4)
Draw the graph of y = sin(x - pi/4)
Step 3:
Draw the graph of y = 2 sin(x - pi/4)
Vertical stretch the graph of y = sin(x - pi/4) twice to get the graph of y = 2 sin(x - pi/4).
Draw the graph of y = 2sin(x - pi/4)
Step 4:
Draw the graph of y = -2 sin(x - pi/4)
Refletion the graph of y = 2 sin(x - pi/4) in the x-Axis to get the graph of y = -2 sin(x - pi/4).
