Subtraction of mixed number with different denominators

Example:
subtraction of two mixed numbers with different denominators.
Solution:
Method 1:
subtraction of two mixed numbers with different denominators.
Method 2:
subtraction of two mixed numbers with different denominators.
Steps in method 1:
1. Change mixed numbers to fractions
2. Find the least common denominator(LCD) of two fractions.
3. Make the same denominator to each fraction.
4. Keep the same denominator, and subtract numerators.
Steps in method 2:
1. Change the mixed number to a whole number and a fraction.
2. Add a parenthses to the subtracted mixed number which need to be changed to a whole number and a fraction.
3. Combine two whole numbers and combine two fractions.
4. Find the least common denominator(LCD) for the two fractions.
5. Perform arithmetic operation on numerators only when each fraction has the same denominator.
6. If the numerator is greater than the denominator, then write the fraction as a mixed number.
