back to math question and answer
The graph of y = cos ( 2 x pi/2 )
- y = cos ( 2 x pi/2 ) = cos (pi x)
- The property of y = A cos Bx is:
- (1). Its amplitude = |A|
- (2). Its period = 2 pi/B
- (3). Its curve will repeat along positive and negative direction in x-axis.
- For function y = cos ( pi x )
- A = 1, B = pi, period = 2 pi/B = 2pi/pi = 2

- When x is in the interval of [0, 2], y = cos pi x finish the first cycle.
- When x is in the interval of [2, 4], y = cos pi x finish the second cycle.
- When x is in the interval of [4, 6], y = cos pi x finish the third cycle.
- The curve will repeat along the x-axis in the interval of 2.
