Comparing fractions with the same numerator and different denominators

- Compare two fractions 18/94 and 18/76, which fraction is greater?
- Solution:
- Both fractions have the same numerator 18.
- The first fraction has the denominator 94
- The second fraction has the denominator 76
- Since 94 > 76, so 1/94 < 1/76
- Therefore, 18/94 < 18/76.
- Rule:
When two fractions have the same numerator, the value of fraction with larger denominate is less than the value of the fraction with small denominator.
